Sportgeneeskunde Rotterdam is a multidisciplinary center, meaning that our departments work closely together to guarantee the best possible care for you. The physiotherapy department plays an important role in this. Our physiotherapists work closely with our sports physicians and movement scientists, ensuring that there is always the possibility for quick consultation and referral if necessary.
Are you looking for physiotherapy in Rotterdam?
Our physiotherapists are specialists in movement when you suffer from acute or long-term physical pain. We aim for a direct approach focused on the primary health problem. In addition to physical functioning, we also look at other components such as stress levels, sleep quality, immune system, nutrition, breathing, and lifestyle.
In our treatment process, our expertise, our network, and your own personal responsibility for your health are central. Our location is the ideal place to provide the right care for every individual. We make use of a modern 500m² training facility and an outdoor artificial turf field, which we use for multiple purposes.
At Sportgeneeskunde Rotterdam, we see our patients either in the consultation room or in the exercise hall. For an intake, we will always first see you in the consultation room. Together, we will discuss your complaints, perform a physical examination, and then decide on the best recovery plan. Often, you will then start training with us in the hall to resolve your complaints as quickly as possible.
We have contracts with all Dutch health insurers. This means that we can invoice your insurer directly if you have supplementary insurance for physiotherapy. If you do not have supplementary insurance for physiotherapy, or if you have exceeded the maximum budget or number of treatments, we will send the invoice directly to you. Detailed information about our rates and reimbursements can be found on the Rates and Reimbursements page.
In order to qualify for reimbursement, you do not need a referral from your general practitioner, with a few exceptions:
osteoarthritis of the knee or hip
chronic treatments
